My memories of Alan Rogers - Theo Russell, New Communist Party

Created by Theo 2 years ago
I have known both Alan and Anne Rogers almost since joined the NCP in late 1984, and worked closely with Alan over many years in the London District. I worked with him on organising many joint activities between my local branches in inner West London and Southall Branch including stalls at events and many party meetings at the West London Trade Union Club in Acton. Alan was always in good spirits, had a great sense of humour and like Anne was very dedicated to building the NCP. After Anne passed away and Alan became less active I continued to keep in touch with him to discuss current developments and keep him updated on party news, and visited him in Southall about a year before he moved to Ipswich. He was as upbeat and maintained his sense of humour right to the end. He with=ill be greatly missed and we will remember him as a dedicated communist and  lifelong worker for the cause of socialism.
